Specchi Studio

Hand-painted illustration developed directly on glass, extending the image into the architecture of the space.

Silvia and Alberto asked me to create a colourful illustration that could bring the space to life during an event and reflect Specchi Studio’s funky, playful spirit. Their studio also doubles as the showroom for Casa Fabbro, an Italian family-run company specialising in bespoke furniture, so I brought some of its most recognisable pieces into the scene: the yellow stool, the red chair and the terracotta stool. The furniture needed to be present, but the business side was never meant to take over the image. Instead, I imagined a small chaotic story: their cat has just spotted a fish tail, unaware that it belongs to a beautiful mermaid. Who is she thinking of?
